Sandra Thrash was born in Stamford, Connecticut, the fifth of thirteen children born to Robert and Arlesta Garner. She completed her formal education in Stamford then attended and graduated from The Berkeley School in White Plains, New York.
She relocated to Los Angeles, California in 1973, and has held several executive secretarial positions with the following companies: The National Association of Manufacturers, the Law offices of Butterworth and Waller and TRW Electronics.
Over a 19-year period, she held several positions in her church day care and school, Christ-Centered Day Care and Christ-Centered Children's University. She served as school secretary/office manager, pre-school teacher, business administrator, elementary teacher, and school administrator.
In addition to her church activities, Sandra has helped in fundraising for charitable organizations in Los Angeles and across the nation as part of the Mothers of Professional Basketball Players. She served as the organization's secretary for four years. They have raised funds for the Girl Scouts, Boys and Girls Clubs, Read to Achieve, Shoes That Fit, Breast Cancer Awareness, and other children's and women's programs.
Sandra Thrash was ordained in 1995. She was installed as Executive Pastor of Christ-Centered Ministries, Inc., in 1998. She currently serves as Director of Christian Education and Chairperson of the Ministerial Alliance of Christ-Centered A.R.M.E.D. Ministries.
